One Good Thing: Cascade Alliance Visits Center Pole
Last week, the Cascade Alliance had the opportunity to visit Center Pole in Garryowen, MT. We were thankful for the time spent with Peggy Well Known Buffalo and Susie Kelly. Center Pole is a Native nonprofit that serves the Crow Nation and their location is close to the Little Big Horn Battlefield National Monument.
The space boasted a café, retail store, food room and community education. We were impressed with the quality of materials available in their thrift shop and both enjoyed a latte from their coffee shop. The coffee is locally roasted and is packaged with unique labels that detail the different tribes of the area. They also have tipis for visitors to stay in for rustic camping, a radio station, and education center on their campus. Center Pole offers traditional activities and workshops to the public.
We are looking forward to building this new collaboration!
