One Good Thing: Cascade Alliance Visits Dayton St. Vincent de Paul
After a series of flights being delayed due to bad weather and being sick, the Cascade Alliance team finally made it out to Dayton, OH to meet for a week of collaboration with one of our new members, St. Vincent de Paul of Dayton, OH!
Dayton has two stores, one small, less than 4,000 square feet, and one closer to 15,000.
The week was spent reorganizing clothes, and helping revitalize other sections of the store. We opened up space between the racks of clothing at the large store and organized contents by color which really made the rows look attractive. We did the same at the smaller store, and also had the fun or creating a cute display with a recent donation of dozens of Barbie dolls, Barbie clothes and Barbie accessories. It brightened up a small section of the store and made a lot of people smile. We think those Barbie’s won’t last long.
The Dayton St. Vincent de Paul very generously supplies free clothing and furniture to those in need in their community, and we are happy to help them come up with ways to increase revenue in their stores so they can continue to meet the other needs for those facing challenges.
We are pretty excited to connect with fellow Vincentians!
